Boho Rattan Ceiling Light

The Boho Rattan Ceiling Light works the way woven shades have always worked: an open outer weave breaks the light into texture, and a linen diffuser behind it smooths what comes through into something warm and even. The result throws pattern onto the ceiling and soft light into the room, rather than one hard pool underneath it. Neutral tones — pale straw, unbleached linen — let it sit in a coastal scheme or a plain white room without insisting on either.

Semi-flush mounting is the practical part. At 32 cm across and 26 cm deep it hangs close to the ceiling, which makes it usable in bedrooms, hallways and apartments where a pendant would be in the way. It takes a standard E27 bulb, so you choose the brightness and colour temperature; the bulb is not supplied. The 12 cm base plate covers most standard ceiling fittings.

The outer shade is metal framed with a paper rattan-weave finish, which keeps the weight down and the price sensible while still reading as natural fibre from across a room. The finish is a warm neutral that sits comfortably against both painted plaster and timber ceilings. It runs on 110–240V and is hard-wired, so treat installation as a job for someone comfortable working at a ceiling rose, or book an electrician.
